Examslayers POPIA Notice Effective date: 12 April 2026

Responsible party Examslayers acts as the responsible party for personal information processed through the Examslayers platform except where another party clearly acts as a separate responsible party under law.
Categories of personal information We may process identity information, contact information, date of birth, education profile information, booking and tutoring information, post-session notes and resources, uploaded file contents and metadata, resource safety scan results, payments and refund records, communications, support records, device and access logs, legal acceptance records, and any information you or an authorised guardian provide through the platform.
Purpose of processing Personal information is processed to create and manage accounts, deliver tutoring and educational services, provide secure in-app access to session notes and resources, scan and moderate uploaded materials, support payments, prevent fraud, secure the platform, respond to support and legal requests, comply with contractual and statutory obligations, maintain service quality, and communicate with users.
Source of information Information may be collected directly from you, from your authorised guardian, from your device or browser, from service providers involved in transactions or communications, or from operational records created through platform use.
Recipients or categories of recipients Information may be shared with tutors or providers involved in delivery, payment processors, communications providers, infrastructure or analytics providers, professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties where disclosure is lawful and necessary.
Security and special handling Examslayers takes reasonable steps to secure records and limit access to authorised persons who need the information for legitimate business, security, legal, or support purposes. Where information appears sensitive or belongs to a child, additional access care, operational controls, and minimisation measures may be applied.
Cross-border transfers Some operators or systems used by Examslayers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, Examslayers aims to use lawful transfer mechanisms and appropriate contractual safeguards.
Data subject rights Subject to POPIA and other applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion where lawful, objection to certain processing, or details about how personal information is processed. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your information has been handled unlawfully.
Retention and deletion Records are retained for as long as necessary for operational delivery, legal compliance, platform integrity, dispute handling, finance, fraud prevention, and audit. Deletion requests are assessed against those obligations.
